It's been a wild last few days. I actually gone out and personally locked in a few jobs.
I forgot how good it feels to help people. Working in the office all the time you forget just how emotional this can be for them.
-We have 4 scheduled already for today from yesterday. It appears that it is slowing down a bit.

Congrats! We never got a big rush, a few each day and none that I know of over the weekend.

not a bad little snap. Currently we are at around$260k in mitigation and growing daily based on equipment rental.
Recon is already guesstimating $350k.
Hoping we can hit $750k when all said and done from this snap....

We did get another fire but nothing that would come close to those numbers.

We had a 2000sq/ft meeting room at a manufacturing facility this afternoon. A supply line beneath the sink broke and they just found it today.

Still a long way from you're experiencing but I'll take it!

As usual water comes at the worst times. 5:20 a commercial loss calls in. 6-technicans and three trucks onsite. Gotta get it while you can.

It just takes time, for many years it was either Dan or myself on every job. That is taxing on the family and relationship.
Now when we add technicians its one of the questions asked of them.

Do you have a problem working after hours and or weekends?
Do you have a problem committing to a week of being "On Call" once every 6-Weeks?

Might as well hit them with the worst up front.This work isn't for everyone.

We get about 1 evening call every 3 months but weekends are fair game. Picked up 6 jobs last weekend. On call rotates weekly. 10.00 per day for on call. If you miss even 1 call you lose your weeks on call pay. Sewage and bio hazard are bonuses of 50 per hr plus regular pay. They are pretty motivated.

We can get multiples a night or go a week with nothing. You never know when the call will come in. The one thing you can be sure of is it will be at the worst possible time. LOL

Oddly enough we always get 2-4 calls inbfridat evenings around 4-6pm
