Hello I have a few questions, I have a 500psi portable w/heat. It runs duel 2-stage vac motors. I’m planing on getting an exhaust vac booster so I can run longer hose length and I wanted to upgrade from 1.5”-2” hose. I bought a 2” barb and bulkhead to replace the 1.5” barb.
My question is when I open the machine up some piping and a vac inlet hose are 1.5”, do these also need to be upgraded to 2”
Please see my pictures, thank you in advance.

Leave machine as is. Stick with 1.5” hose from machine to wand.
With the booster you will get a greater velocity of air in other words a bit more suction at the wand.
You can only get but so much air flow from portable 2 stage.
If you use 500psi with a portable, the carpet will be soaked. Dial it down to 100-150.

My 2¢

With a booster get ready to trip circuits. Gotta find independent outlets in the home. At which point you will have elect cords running all over the place. If home owner is home, they will look at you like you have three heads. How do i know this¿

Put a Hole Glide on a great wand and save a ton of headaches and 2" hassles.

Thanks for the replies. I’m going to look into that hole glide. Respectfully I am looking for the answer to my questions about do I need to upgrade the internal pipe on the machine and the inlet hose on the motor from 1.5 inch to 2 inch or is only replacing the barb with a 2 inch barb sufficient?

I am adding 2 parallel vacs in additional to the 2 vacs. So 4 total off the exhaust of the machine. I’m simply looking for an answer to my original question even if some disagree. I have ran portables with 2” line before it’s not uncommon, I am upgrading the system. The work I do require 50-75 ft hose runs
