Like using a snow shovel (OP) for your driveway instead of using a snowblower (TM).

Think of any others?

Snow shovel still REMOVES the snow. just slower.

Instead of snow shoveling, it would be like putting down ice melt and then letting someone else sweep it up.


Easier, faster, someone else removes the problem.

=same result as the shoveling.


Sorry I thought this was an en-cap post.

This is a very close analogy, although you are using a diluted solution of hair shampoo so as to just take away the oil in your hair and then you towel dry. I carry a weak solution of Pantene Pro-V shampoo and will mist it on my hair and my body and change my shirt if I am too grimy before arriving at the next job. I smell great and the lady thinks I just took a shower. Interm appearance management.
