After my son backed into parked vehicles- TWICE! My insurance shot from about $3500 to $8500.
The $3500 use to cover the Vortex and 2 MB sprinters.
The $8500 is for a 2019 Ford Transit and a 2023 Ford E-transit.

It's been a few years since my son fukd up and I'm looking to save some money on insurance.
My current insurance company is Infinity.

For decades i was with Hartford fund about around the time of the fires in California they dropped business in Cali but my understanding is that they are taking it back now so when my insurance comes due in may ill try them again. They still handle my business liability insurance my business vehicles are insured thru Mercury at this time i pay 5700.00 per year for a 2020 chevy express van (frankinstien) with an agreed equipment, signage rims etc. value of 65k over vehicle value and a 2023 Toyota pickup with an agreed value of shell signs and contents ,etc of 12k over truck value

Not advisable unless you can take the financial hit in the event of a accident but all I ever carried on my work vehicles was a larger that minimum general liability policy and never insured equipment. I've been with State Farm for well over 40 years with both home and auto and the multiple policy and accident free discounts really add up.

I totaled my ford ranger when it came to pay off they wouldn't allow my utility shell because it was an add on even though I bought the truck new with it. And my business insurance said it was part of the truck and they wouldn't pay eighter . I locked the totaled truck in my shop and refused to settle. Finally my truck insurance agreed to pay $750 for the shell that originally cost 3800.00+ signage.(and 8550.00 /with signage to replace on my new truck) From that point on i renegotiated all my vehicle insurances to include agreed value of contents and modifications. In short if your van has a pto (or any machine permanently mounted in the van)and you total it and your with 2 different carriers for business and vehicle's neighter one may pay out for the equipment if you don't list contents separately. Kinda the same same with home insurance and contents and or expensive jewelry. My advice whenever possible have all your coverage, business liability and vehicle's thru the same company that way you don't have one company claiming it's another companies responsibility.

3 auto claims. Non were my fault. Vehicle damage was paid on 2 claims by the others insurance (not State Farm).
3rd. claim was another State Farm driver. Girl blew a intersection and I t-boned her totaling her car. State Farm paid for both my vehicle and equipment damage.
2 home claims with wind damage and the another ice damage to my roof.
State Farm paid for a new roof, insulation and interior painting on the first claim to my home roof.
2nd. time they paid for a new roof on my house and 2 car garage with minor insulation and painting of my garage.

You do know that St Farm is known for Not being a good neighbor. They currently are being sued for not paying or underpaying
storm damage claims. I have a neighbor who makes a living suing them over unpaid claims. He loves them.
